$8,000 jackpot shared by two
5 win prizes at TNP Bonus Challenge, including Airwheel S3
Two men won the jackpot cash prize in The New Paper's Bonus Challenge draw last night.
The prize - a whopping $8,000 - was split equally between them.
Mr Hazakela, 61, was in for a happy surprise yesterday when he found out that he won $4,000.
The loyal TNP reader, who works as a cleaner, collected his prize money together with his friend, Mr Abdul Samad, 47.
Said Mr Samad, a retail assistant: "If he had won less money, he would have treated me to murtabak. But now that he has won more, I'll ask him for a bigger treat."
It is Mr Hazakela's first time winning a TNP lucky draw.
"I participated in the TNP lucky draws many times but I didn't expect to win," he said.
The other $4,000 winner, Mr Choo Chee Chye, 37, said he intends to spend the cash on a holiday abroad.
The taxi driver, who was accompanied by a friend when he collected his prize, said he would treat his friend to a big meal and save up some of his prize money.
On top of the jackpot, there were two $100 cash prize winners - Madam Rahamah Mohammed Idros, 47, and Mr Abdul Rahim Dawood , 67.
Madam Juliet Png Guat Hwee also walked away with an Airwheel S3 prize yesterday.
Today's grand prize will be a $1,000 cash. If uncollected, the amount will snowball each day.
