Four caught for cheating patrons of Singapore casinos
Three men and a woman have been arrested for their suspected involvement in cheating casino patrons.
The four, aged between 25 and 49, are believed to have committed syndicated cheating in both the Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) and Marina Bay Sands casinos on the pretext of helping patrons place bets.
The police were alerted on Tuesday to a case of suspected cheating at the RWS casino and officers from the Criminal Investigation Department's Casino Crime Investigation Branch arrested two suspects.
Two others were nabbed within four hours of the report being lodged.
Cash and casino chips worth about $5,000 were seized.
The suspects will be charged in court today. If convicted, they face a jail term of up to seven years, or a fine up to $150,000, or both.
