Jurong accident: Car hits motorbike, sending rider somersaulting through the air

This article is more than 12 months old

A motorcyclist was injured in a five-vehicle collision at Jurong Town Hall Road on Friday (July 31).

The accident was caught on the in-car cameras of one of the vehicles involved.

It showed a white car hitting the rear of a motorcycle, sending the rider somersaulting through the air.

The white Honda then hit a grey car (with the on-board cameras) before crashing through the road divider railings.

The dislodged portion of railings hit another car on the opposite side of the road.

Due to the impact, the grey car propelled into a van.

In the video, the motorcyclist can be seen scrambling to his feet before sitting down at the curb. The 29-year-old man was later taken to hospital.

The footage was uploaded on YouTube on Tuesday (Aug 4) by the motorcyclist's brother-in-law Bernard Ho.

Mr Ho said the driver of the white car fled the scene, leaving his vehicle in the middle of the road.
