Policeman shot at Khoo Teck Puat hospital

A police officer was shot at Khoo Teck Puat hospital this evening.

He was one of two policemen escorting a man, who had complained of chest pain and asthma.

The man had been brought to the A&E department just before 4pm on Saturday (June 20). 

The New Paper understands the suspect has been apprehended and the weapon was recovered.

The police officer, who was shot in the hand, is believed to have been taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment. He is believed to be in a stable condition.
