SDP unveils two new faces for GE
The Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) unveiled its first two new faces who will be standing in GE 2015.
Ms Chong Wai Fung, 45, and Mr Khung Wai Yeen, 34, were introduced by SDP secretary-general Chee Soon Juan at the party's Ang Mo Kio office.
Ms Chong, who is the party treasurer, and Mr Khung have been members of the SDP since 2011. Dr Chee remained coy about the wards the SDP candidates would be fielded in, but confirmed that the party would contest the Holland-Bukit Timah and Marsiling-Yew Tee GRCs as well as Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang and Yuhua SMCs.
Ms Chong, who has two master's degrees, is the administrator of Ren Ci Nursing Home and is single.
Mr Khung is an accounts manager in a European multinational company and is married with one child. He was previously a chief engineering naval specialist with the Republic of Singapore Navy.
