S'pore driver dies after Porsche plunges into ravine on Second Link highway
A 55-year-old Singaporean died when his Porsche rammed into a road barrier, then plunged into a ravine on the Second Link highway in Johor Baru.
Nusajaya OCPD Supt Noor Hashim Mohamad said Mr See Lam Huat lost control of his vehicle at around 4.30pm on Sunday.
Mr See, who was heading towards Senai, hit the barrier on the left and went into a ravine, Supt Noor Hashim said.
"The driver died on the spot due to serious injuries while his front passenger sustained minor injuries to her legs," he said, adding that initial investigations showed that the driver was probably at fault as road and weather conditions were good, Malaysia's The Star reported.
Mr See's body was sent for a post-mortem and the 31-year-old passenger is seeking treatment at Hospital Sultanah Aminah.
The New Paper understands that the passenger is a woman from Taman Universiti in Skudai.
Supt Noor Hashim said that the case has been classified under reckless driving and that the car was completely wrecked in the crash.
