Three lawyers acting for Amos Yee pro bono

This article is more than 12 months old

Amos Yee Pang Sang, 16, who has been charged after posting an online rant last month, is now represented by a team of lawyers.

They are Mr Alfred Dodwell, Mr Chong Jia Hao and Mr Ervin Tan.

The lawyers are representing him pro bono.

Mr Dodwell told reporters he got in touch with Amos' parents two days ago.

On March 31, Amos was charged in court with one count each of transmitting an obscene picture electronically, and uploading content online which attacked Christianity.

Yee has been in remand since his last court appearance last Friday (April 17) as his parents had decided not to post bail for him.

He was also charged under the Protection from Harassment Act after he allegedly posted an insulting video clip online containing remarks about former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.
