Three men charged with engaging in a conspiracy to commit murder
Three men were charged in court on Wednesday (24/6/15) with engaging in a conspiracy to murder Singapore permanent resident (PR) Aye Maung Maung Thet.
Two of them, Phyo Min Naing, 31 and Yae Wynnt Oaung, 32, are Myanmar nationals.
The third man, Zaw Min Hlaing, 37, is a Singapore PR.
Phyo, Zaw and a fourth man, Myanmar national Win Kyaw Kyaw Aung, 29, allegedly attempted to abduct Mr Aye at a multi-storey carpark at Block 747A Pasir Ris Street 71 at around 9.30pm on Sunday.
Phyo and Zaw are also accused of assaulting Mr Aye, 28, and using a taser on him.
Police are now looking for Mr Win to assist them in the investigation.
The trio are now remanded at the Central Police Division and will be back in court on July 1.
For engaging in a conspiracy to commit murder, the men can each be jailed up to 14 years and fined.
