Tin Pei Ling has given birth to SG50 baby
Member of parliament Tin Pei Ling has her very own SG50 funpack!
The MP for Marine Parade GRC announced on Facebook early this morning (Aug 5) that she has given birth to a healthy baby boy – or "popped" as she put it.
And many of her Facebook followers have already wished her well - as well as advising her to get plenty of rest in preparation for what could be a hectic month ahead.
NTUC Secretary-General Chan Chun Sing shared a photo of Ms Tin and her new-born on Facebook.
The photo was taken by Ms Tin's husband Ng How Yue, the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Law.
The 2015 General Elections are widely tipped to take place in September and Ms Tin may well be contesting for the first time in an Single Member Constituency.
Her current ward, Macpherson, was carved out of Marine Parade GRC into its own single seat.
Ms Tin told The New Paper in a previous interview: "The baby should come fairly soon and if the election comes in September as speculated, then I think I would have had a few weeks of rest and the chance to recover from childbirth.
"But no matter when it is, if I have to go campaign, I have to go," added Ms Tin.
