TNP Bonus Challenge is back
Past winners looking forward to taking part again from Monday
From Monday, readers will stand a chance to win up to $35,000 in cash and prizes with the return of The New Paper Bonus Challenge.
Winners of the Bonus Challenge, which will run from May 25 to June 28, can win daily cash prizes of $100 and a jackpot prize of $1,000.
AirWheel products will also be up for grabs and lucky winners will walk away with a self-balancing electric scooter (worth $1,980) or an electric unicycle ($1,150). This is the third year that the Bonus Challenge is running.
Last year's biggest winner, Madam Helen Teo, 42, a freelance researcher, said her family are interested in taking part in the contest again.
They won a total of $9,000 during their first attempt, but have yet to spend a single cent of their winning.
"We have put it aside for the future, but we are looking forward to this year's challenge," said Madam Teo.
Retiree Lee Ah Choy, 75, who won two prizes last year, shared his secret.
"I bought three to four copies everyday to increase my chances," said Mr Lee, who treated his family and friends to dinners with his prize money of $1,000. He had also won a folding bike by MINI (worth $1,485).

Mr Lee added that he has been reading TNP for over 26 years since its inception in 1988, and never fails to get his daily news from the paper.
Avid sports fan Hassan Abu Samah, 60, an admin worker, was rewarded for being a loyal reader when he won an iPad mini last November. He is a big fan of TNP's sports coverage and the Bonus Challenge.
"I look forward to the Bonus Challenge every year as it is fun and informative and winning the iPad mini was a bonus to me," said Mr Hassan.
HOW TO PLAY
To play, simply buy The New Paper (TNP) each Monday to receive a Bonus Challenge card.
Match numbers on the card with the six digits in each issue of TNP from Tuesday to Sunday.
If a vertical row is matched (from top to bottom), players should head down to the lobby of Singapore Press Holdings News Centre in Toa Payoh North to claim their prize by answering a simple question.
Prizes must be collected on the same day from 8 to 9pm.
The jackpot prize will snowball to the next day if it remains unclaimed by 9pm.
