3 share TNP jackpot prize
The New Paper's Match & Score contest came to a climatic end yesterday, leaving three lucky jackpot winners heading home with $340 in cash each.
Another five lucky winners took home between $100 and $200 each.
One of the jackpot winners was Mr Lee Ah Choy, 75, who had also won $100 on July 8.
The repeat winner was all smiles when he collected his prize last night.
"Even though there are two other jackpot winners, I am happy to share my joy with them," said the elated Mr Lee.
"I plan to save some, spend some and give some away," said Mr Lee, when asked about his plans to spend the cash prize.
Mr Rahimi Assar was another repeat winner.
Like Mr Lee, Mr Rahimi was on a lucky streak. He had won $2,000 in cash during the July 9 draw.
The chauffeur, who turned 55 last month, said, "It is such as blessing for me this Hari Raya.
"It's also a double blessing for me as the prize money is a belated birthday gift to myself."
After donating his previous winnings to an orphanage and mosque, he plans to give his latest winnings to his wife.
Mr Kamarulzaman Osman was the third jackpot winner last night.
A loyal reader of TNP since it began, he credits his winnings to luck.
"It's my first time winning the jackpot," said Mr Kamarulzaman.
Sporting a Manchester United jersey, the football fan has yet to decide what to do with his winnings.
Because he is a TNP SuperKaki, Mr Kamarulzaman received an extra $50 in addition to his cash prize.
In total, about $31,000 has been won by 129 winnerssince the contest was launched on June 6.
