Those who have not used their ActiveSG dollars have one month left to extend the $100 in credits for another year.

ActiveSG was launched in April 2014 to encourage Singaporeans to live a healthy lifestyle by giving free credits to use public gyms, swimming pools and other sports facilities.

It is part of a $1.5 billion Sports Facilities Master Plan to improve the country's sporting landscape by 2030, so Singaporeans have a venue to play and exercise within 10 minutes of their home.

According to March 2016 figures, there were just over 1 million ActiveSG members.

All members who sign up are eligible for the complimentary $100 ActiveSG credit.

More than two-thirds have utilised their free credits.

The credits can be used at Sport Singapore facilities, including swimming pools and gyms.

They can also be used to book sports facilities and to pay in part for ActiveSG programmes and activities.

The credits will expire by the end of the year unless members apply for an extension on the ActiveSG website or via mobile application.

ActiveSG members received e-mailslast month reminding them to use the ActiveSG dollars or extend its validity.

"We encourage you to keep active and make full use of your ActiveSG Dollars.

"Simply perform any web or app transaction, or scan-in to any of our 26 swimming complexes and 16 gyms island-wide today to extend the validity," the e-mail said.
