Man killed in street after fight in Geylang
A man was killed at Geylang Lorong 23 this morning (July 9).
His bloodied body, with visible injuries on the face, was found on the kerb of the road.
Police are currently combing the scene of the crime.
It is believed that the victim was in a fierce fight with a man near a coffee shop in the early morning.
A coffee shop assistant told TNP that she heard a commotion outside and went out to check.
There, she saw a man striking the victim, who collapsed shortly after.
Police received a call at about 8am asking for assistance.
Upon arrival, a 52 year old man was found lying motionless.
He had a deep cut from the left side of his ear to the top of his head and was lying in a pool of blood.
A wooden stick was found beside the victim, who was topless.
He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 8.11am
Police are investigating the unnatural death.
