Police car collides with BMW during Geylang Serai chase
A high-speed chase on Sunday night involving a Traffic Police (TP) car ended when the police car collided with a BMW at the junction of Geylang Road and Engku Aman Road.
The TP car was chasing another vehicle at the time.
The 30-year-old driver of the BMW was taken to Changi General Hospital. The 28-year-old driver of the other car in the chase drove off, but was later arrested.
A witness, who wanted to be known only as Mr Phua, told The New Paper: "It all happened so fast. I remember cars whizzing past me and the next second, a police car had crashed."
Another witness, Ms Chen, 29, said: "I could see that one of the policemen was in pain. He was grasping at his chest."
Police investigations are ongoing.
In a separate incident yesterday at about 4.15am, a 39-year-old motorcyclist was arrested after trying to evade a road block at Sims Way.
