Trucks collide at Second Link

This article is more than 12 months old

Two trailer trucks collided about 500m before the Malaysian checkpoint of the Second Link at about 2pm yesterday, leaving only one lane open for traffic towards Johor.

Freelance photographer Joseph Nair, 31, who was driving several cars behind, saw one of the trucks skid sideways, sending empty crates flying.

"It was like a Michael Bay movie," said Mr Nair.

He got out of his car along with a friend and helped one of the truck drivers.

The two truck drivers and a passenger suffered head, back and arm injuries but were able to stand.

Traffic appeared clear in the aftermath despite the lane obstruction.
