S'porean workers are #UnderHappy: Maybe a career switch to these jobs will help?
Singaporeans, are you #UnderHappy?
Results from an online poll released on Tuesday said so - with workers here chalking up an average score of 59 out of 100 in a workplace happiness index.
A score that is between 68 and 100 meant that the worker is happy. An index that is 50 and below is considered unhappy.
What about those who fell in-between? Well, you're among the "under happy" ones.
So if you're looking for a career switch, consider these sectors (ranked according to their happiness index).
The happiest workers are in:
1) Voluntary welfare organisations
2) Local small and medium enterprises
3) Education and social service sectors
According to a Jobs Central survey conducted last year, working in the Construction and Arts, Entertainment and Recreation sectors produced the happiest workers.
Hmm, should I make a move to acting soon.
But lest you think that work is the only thing making Singaporeans #UnderHappy, think twice.
The #UnderHappy hashtag was trending yesterday and here are a few non-work reasons why Singaporeans were #UnderHappy.
