This article is more than 12 months old

Mandopop star Stefanie Sun was among the first in the queue outside Parliament House this morning (March 25), reports Zaobao.com

The 36-year-old was waiting to pay her respects to Singapore's first Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, whose body lies in state at Parliament House from today to March 28.

After his death was announced on March 23, the singer tweeted her condolences:

She penned a moving tribute to the late Mr Lee for The Straits Times, in which she recalled singing Mr Lee's wife's favourite song, Que Sera Sera, at the Business Chinese Awards in 2011, after Mrs Lee's death.

(Senior Minister of State) Josephine Teo later told me in private that she saw tears in his eyes.
