Student, 14, arrested for molest
Police have arrested a 14-year-old believed to be responsible for at least two cases of outrage of modesty in Woodlands.
Last month, two victims lodged reports stating that they were molested by a male teen. Both provided similar descriptions of the suspect.
The boy was identified and arrested around 3.15pm on Monday near Bedok North Street 3. Investigations are ongoing.
A police spokesman advised residents to beware suspicious people loitering in their vicinity and to avoid secluded and poorly lit areas when travelling alone.
Victims of such crimes should remain calm, shout for help, take note of the culprit's physical description and direction of escape, and to call the police as soon as it is safe to do so, he added.
Those found guilty of outrage of modesty can be jailed up to two years or fined, and caned.
