Student brings down US gunman with pepper spray
The gunman had already killed one student and wounded three others at Seattle Pacific University.
But when 26-year-old Aaron Ybarra paused to reload his shotgun, one man decided to act.
Engineering student Jon Meis, in his '20s, pepper sprayed the shooter and tackled him to the ground, reported The Seattle Times.
Other students and faculty members then helped to hold Ybarra down until police arrived.
Officers said the bloodshed would have been worse had Mr Meis not intervened, CNN reported.
Mr Meis' courageous actions during the campus shooting on Thursday have made him a hero.
Though he was not injured, he was shaken up by the incident and was taken to hospital, reported Q13Fox.com.
Some students gathered at the school at Thursday midnight for a vigil.
