If you needed any proof that Singapore is fast become a culinary hub, we have exactly that for you. Ten Singapore restaurants placed in the coveted Asia's Best 50 restaurants.

Meanwhile, Thailand topped the list when Bangkok restaurant Gaggan emerged as this year's No.1 restaurant in the region.

Restaurant Andre (5)

Restaurant Andre, which came in fifth this year, uses the 'octaphilosophy', where he attempts to express eight different characteristics (pure, salt, artisan, south, texture, unique, memory and terroir) through his food.

Waku Ghin (9)

The modern European-Japanese restaurant is helmed by celebrity chef Tetsuya Wakuda and is known for its signature dish, Marinated botan shrimp (below).

Among its many popular, delicious dishes is the Rosemary Smoked Organic Egg (below). This modern French restaurant in Swissotel The Stamford is headed by Chef Julien Royer, who is said to bring the authentic taste of France to Singapore.
