Union: Cathay Pacific stewardesses' blouse too sexy
Six other airlines that Cathay Pacific can learn from if they redesign their uniform
Female Cathay Pacific flight attendants want the airline to redesign their uniforms because they are too revealing and may provoke sexual harassment.
The Cathay Pacific Airways Flight Attendants Union said that the cabin crew member complained that the white blouses are too short and the red skirts are too tight leading to much discomfort.
The union's vice chairman Julian Yau said: "They are worried about the uniform being too short when they work,"
He also added that the uniform, which was introduced in 2011, exposed the attendants' midriff when they bent down.
Female flight attendants are not asking for a complete overhaul of the uniform but want the blouse lengthened and the skirts to be more loose fitting, according to Mr Yau.
Maybe Cathay Pacific can look to these six other airlines for some tips in designing stylish yet practical uniforms.
