US radio legend Casey Kasem in critical condition
US radio legend Casey Kasem's health is declining and is in a critical condition at a Washington State Hospital.
His daughter, Kerri Kasem, was granted conservatorship over his healthcare and will oversee the care given to her father.
Kasem, who is the father of Class 95FM DJ Mike Kasem, was admitted to the hospital earlier this week.
But his admittance was overshadowed by the public feud between the older Kasem's wife, Jean and his daughter Kerri Kasem.
Jean threw raw meat at Kerri when she was taking her father to the hospital.
Kerri said in a statement on Friday: "If he opens his eyes, I want my dad just once to see everyone standing around him, putting our differences aside and let him know how much he is loved by everyone, including Jean and Liberty."
Liberty is Kerri's half-sister.
Kasem, who is most famous for his weekly top 40 countdown radio show, suffers from Lewy body disease, a form of dementia with symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease and hallucinations.
