Video: Man attacks mahjong players with axe
A man is standing in the middle of a mahjong room, calmly observing a game.
Then, without warning, he pulls out an axe and starts hacking at the players.
This shocking footage of an attack in China's Xinjiang region was released by state television broadcaster CCTV on Tuesday.
The man was joined by two others wielding knives. The attack spilled into the streets, but the trio was quickly surrounded by the players.
The police arrived within minutes and overpowered the attackers.
Four people were injured in Sunday's incident in the city of Hotan. Two of the attackers died from serious injuries and a third was arrested.
