'Watermelon brother' scares Beijing commuters
This man scared a few travellers on the Beijing subway with his outfit.
No doubt, he is now an online hit, but many Beijingers are wondering what he was up to.
Aside from the fruit on his head, he has been pictured wearing jeans and a jacket, and carrying a backpack.
Some locals have nicknamed the man "watermelon brother" and have shared their creepy encounters of him recently, Shanghaiist reported.
Some passengers were so frightened that they notified subway staff, who then called the police.
One passenger told the Beijing Morning Post: "It was so scary when I was on the metro.
"He was just hanging around in the train wearing a watermelon mask, with a beer bottle and a baijiu (traditional Chinese liquor) bottle in his hands."
