What illness did student get: 'Chicken chop'?
The secondary student was ill.
And she had the medical certificate (MC) to prove it.
Only problem? She was diagnosed with chicken chop.
That's right. The clinic that issued the MC had diagnosed her with the dish, rather than chicken pox.
And the image of the MC has been widely circulating on WhatsApp social messaging platform, The Rakyat Post reported.
The teen was given five days leave, from Monday (March 2) until Friday.
A clinic staff confirmed the error and apologised for the mistake, saying colleagues committed the oversight, not the doctor who had signed it.
The staff member, who declined to be identified, said:
“It was an inadvertent error on our part. On behalf of the clinic, we would like to apologise profusely for the mistake.
“The doctor has also admitted the error and we would like to move on from here."
Since the picture went viral, the clinic has been inundated with phone calls.
