Will you take us home? Overwhelmed animal shelter to conduct adoption drives for abandoned puppies
Animal rescue centre Gentle Paws is over-flowing after it took in more than 20 puppies abandoned by their mothers.
The strays lost their homes when the secondary forests in the east of Singapore were cleared for housing projects.
By rescuing the puppies, the shelter - which can hold up to 40 adult dogs - will be over-populated if the puppies grow and mature.
Gentle Paws had spent most of its funds on their medical check-up and vaccination.
To free the shelter and give the puppies - aged a month to a year - good homes, they will be put up for adoption on Saturday and Sunday (Jan 10 and 11) at Sunny Heights, 110 Turf Club Road between 1pm and 6pm.
It will be followed up by a second drive at Mutts and Mittens - which is in Pasir Ris Farmway 2 - on the following weekend of Jan 17 and 18.
