Last year, The New Paper held four contests that rewarded readers for their support. Here is how the games were played.
TNP BONUS CHALLENGE
March to May
To play, readers had to get the game cards attached to each Monday's issue of TNP. They had to match the numbers on the card against six digits printed daily in TNP from Tuesday to Sunday.
Those who completed any vertical row of numbers could claim the prize for that row by answering a simple question on the spot.
TOTAL There were 29 winners who pocketed a total of $45,000 in cash and prizes such as the iPad Mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phone.
TNP WORLD CUP COLLECTIBLES
June to July
Readers had to collect 10 coupons from TNP to redeem an exclusive World Cup mug at 7-Eleven. Each mug had a number printed beneath it and readers could win weekly cash prizes by matching the numbers with those published in TNP weekly. A grand prize of $1,000 was also given out.
TOTAL Twenty thousand mugs were redeemed and 14 cash winners walked away with a total of $5,500.
TNP NO TRICKS JUST TREATS
September to October
Readers redeemed tickets to events by collecting 20 coupons found in copies of TNP.
Readers who failed to redeem for the event tickets, as well as those who purchased a set of Kiss Hello Kitty candy tins, could take part in the grand draw, which included prizes such as smart phones and VIP event tickets.
Total: There were 607winners of the various tickets and prizes and a total of $41,500 in prizes were given out
TNP CHRISTMAS BONUS CHALLENGE
November to December

TOTAL This contest saw 50 winners. It gave out $37,000 in cash and prizes. The prizes included foldable bicycles by MINI.
