A woman fell two storeys from her window amid a police check and then exclaimed when she was caught: "I wasn't trying to run from the police. I was sleepwalking!"

The Indonesian woman, said to be in her 30s, broke her right leg from the fall.

Petaling Jaya OCPD ACP Azmi Abu Kasim said: "We believe she was just trying to flee."

She was one of about 120 people arrested by police in Petaling Jaya, Selangor for drug and immigration offences on Tuesday night (Jul 22).

The woman claimed she was asleep and dreaming when she heard loud knocks and got frightened. She panicked, climbed out of her room window and fell to the ground below, The Star reported.

Malaysian police said the woman was found not to have proper documents and will be charged accordingly.
