Woman jailed 3 months for trying to bribe 4 cops

A woman was sentenced to three months' jail on Wednesday (March 11) for attempting to bribe four police officers.
Chinese national Yang Ming Juan, 26, offered S$2,349 to the officers in an attempt to get them to release her from police custody.
She was charged in court on Dec 5 last year with two counts of corruptly offering a gratification and she pleaded guilty on Wednesday (March 11).
For the offence, she could have been fined up to $100,000 and jailed for up to five years.
