Woman loses diamonds which are later found in rubbish bin
One person's garbage is another's precious cache of diamonds.
Our story starts at Guanglan Road Station, Shanghai, where a woman leaves the train, and a black bag she had put under the seat, containing 9 diamonds worth US$29,000 (S$36,000).
Once the train leaves the station, the woman suddenly remembers the bag and in a panic calls the police, reports Shanghai Daily.
Police and Metro employees comb the trains looking for the bag but to no avail. All appears to be lost.
Finally, the bag is found in a rubbish bin at Pudong International Airport Station, 27km away, where the woman had first boarded the train when she arrived in the city.
