8 injured after stage collapses during choir performance in China
What was supposed to be a relaxing afternoon turned into a nightmare when the stage beneath an 80-strong choir gave way.
The incident took place in Bijie, a city in China's Guizhou province.
The 22-second long video shot by a member of the audience was uploaded to the China Central Television (CCTV).
As shown in the clip, no one was prepared for what was about to happen.
At about 0:14s, loud gasps can be heard from the audience as the stage begins to collapse, even as the choir continued singing.
Three seconds later, at 0:17, the entire choir is already out of the audience's sight.
A total of eight choir members sustained injuries during the fall. Two were seriously injured.
