Photo of him changing his daughter's diapers gets
1.4 million likes and counting

Something as mundane as diaper changing becomes a big deal if you are Mr Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook.

The 31-year-old posted a picture of himself changing his daughter Maxima Chan's diapers on Friday.

The picture, taken at his home in Palo Alto, California, almost set the Internet on fire, with more than 1.4 million likes and counting and more than 13,000 shares, Mail Online reported.

He has more than 44 million followers on Facebook.

Mr Zuckerberg, who is sporting a huge grin in the photo, wrote: "One more down, thousands to go."

He and his wife, Dr Priscilla Chan, 30, welcomed their baby daughter earlier this month. She is now heir to the Silicon Valley tycoon's US$46 billion (S$65 billion) fortune.

The post generated thousands of comments.

One of them wrote: "She is crazy beautiful only some days old #love."

Another one chimed in: "Watch out! My kids all peed on me at least once when doing that. Ahh, the fun of parenthood!"

About 240,000 of the likes came in under an hour.

Mr Zuckerberg has started his two-month paternity leave, keeping busy with not only diaper duty but also by reading to the baby girl, people.com reported.

He recently shared a Facebook photo of the couple reading a quantum physics children's book to Max, writing, "My next book for A Year of Books is Quantum Physics for Babies!"

Mr Zuckerberg - who started his online book club, A Year of Books, in January - emphasised the significance of educating children from an early age.

He added: "This is important for creating the world we all want for our children, and that's what I'm thinking about these days.

"I am loving reading to Max. Next year looks like it's going to be A Year of Children's books!"

He made a big news splash last week when he announced his intention to donate most of his Facebook stock to charity.

He will transfer his Facebook shares to a limited liability company known as the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
