Malaysian teen stabbed to death by motorcyclist
A 16-year-old Malaysian boy was walking home alone after meeting friends at a cybercafe when four men on motorcycles rode up beside him.
One man alighted and stabbed the teenager, known only as K. Kishen (right), in the chest with a sharp object, The Star reported.
The incident occurred in Bandar Puteri Jaya in Sungai Petani, Kedah, at about 9.30pm on Tuesday.
The four motorcyclists fled the scene.
The victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital.
A witness, known only as Mr D. Kannan, 44, told The Star he suspected the boy was a victim of robbery.
"I knew the boy and he could talk when I rushed to his aid," he said.
"He was clinging to his mobile phone and wallet, and told me someone had stabbed him.
"I informed his friend who lives nearby. He rushed him to a clinic where a doctor called an ambulance."
The victim's parents were too upset to comment when approached by the media.
His uncle said he "was a good boy" who "did not have any bad habits".
"Those who did this must be brought to justice," he added.
A 15-year-old boy has been picked up by the police to assist in investigations.
The case has been classified as murder.
