This article is more than 12 months old

Some perverted men are staking out public toilets and toilets in entertainment outlets in Kuala Lumpur to record compromising videos of unsuspecting women, reported Harian Metro.

These men not only use spycams, but also smartphones taped to the ceilings of toilets.

One of the victims, who only wanted to be known as Mai, 20, said she was tricked by her boyfriend, who recorded their intimate actions in a public toilet and threatened to share it on social media.

“I did not expect him to record the incident. Based on the video, I believe he had taped his smartphone to the ceiling,” she was quoted as saying.

Miss Mai added that she ended her relationship with the man and made a complaint with the Malaysian Chinese Association Public Complaints Bureau.

Hidden camera

In an unrelated incident, another woman fell victim after using a public toilet near the Sentul night market in Kuala Lumpur.

The woman, in her 20s, discovered a hidden camera when she examined a suspicious-looking clothes hanger, The Star reported quoting Harian Metro.

The clothes hanger was placed low on the toilet door to record the actions of those using the toilet.

A police report was made at the Sentul police station following the incident.
