Teen murdered mother after watching ISIS videos
A 15-year-old girl in Denmark has been jailed for murdering her mother after spending hours watching ISIS beheading videos.
The Independent reported that Lisa Borch had become obsessed with watching the decapitations of British hostages David Haines and Alan Henning.
In October last year, she had spent hours watching the videos before fatally stabbing her mother, Tina Holtegaard, at least 20 times with a kitchen knife.
Borch then called the police, claiming that she heard her mother scream and that she saw "a white man" running away from the house in Kvissel, rural Denmark.
The police found Borch calmly playing on her phone as her mother lay covered in blood, according to the Mirror.
Borch had planned to join ISIS in Syria with her Iraqi boyfriend, Bakhtiar Mohammed Abdulla, 29.
The couple had met at a refugee centre near her home.
The teen blames the murder on Abdulla, whose fingerprints were also found in Holtegaard's bedroom.
The court was unable to determine which of the two had delivered the fatal stab wounds, and both were found guilty of the murder.
Borch received nine years while Abdulla was sentenced to 13 years and expulsion from Denmark once the sentence has expired.
