Watch: Man beats up female driver after she cuts into his lane

A man in China pulled a woman driver out of her vehicle and viciously kicked her.

The incident was caught on the dashboard camera of a nearby vehicle.

In the video, both cars are seen pulling over at the left side of the road.

The man then exits his car and forcefully drags the woman out of hers. He proceeds to hit and kick her in the face.

The woman, known only as Ms Lu, suffered a concussion and bone fractures as a result, reported Shanghaiist.

 

 

The incident happened in Chengdu city in Sichuan province on Sunday (May 3) at around 2.20pm.

Sina English reported that the man, known only as Zhang, also injured passers-by with a screwdriver after they asked him to leave.​

Zhang has been arrested, reported the news siteIf found guilty, he can be jailed for up to five years.

But what drove him to inflict such vicious injuries? 

Footage from Zhang's dashboard camera shows the events leading up to the attack.

 

 

In the clip, Ms Lu is seen cutting abruptly into Zhang's lane a few times.

The two can be heard shouting at each other, and Zhang's child, who was in the car, can be heard crying in the background.

The man told police that the woman’s driving had scared his child. This upset him and he went to beat her up.
