Duke the dog is mayor again

It has a real nose for politics, and it did not come as a surprise when Duke the dog was re-elected mayor of Cormorant, Minnesota, for the third year in a row.
Duke's owner, Mr David Rick, said: "Everybody voted for Duke - except for one vote for his girlfriend, Lassie."
Ms Karen Nelson, who described herself as Mayor Duke's caretaker, tweeted: "He's done such great things for the community. I don't know who would run against him."
The nine-year-old great Pyrenees was sworn in over the weekend and enjoyed an open-car ride around its town of about 1,000 residents.
The mayor could not be reached for comment, said one report.
