Fires in France force 10,000 out of homes

At least 10,000 people were evacuated overnight after a new wildfire broke out in France, which was already battling massive blazes that have consumed swathes of forest, the authorities said yesterday.
The flames are raging in the tinder-dry south of the country, including in the popular resort of Saint-Tropez.
