A Buddhist devotee dashes barefoot through flames during the Nagatoro Hi-Matsuri, or fire-walking festival, to mark the coming of spring at the Fudoji temple in Nagatoro town, Saitama prefecture, on Sunday. Hundreds of people took part in the festival to "purify the mind and body" and to pray for good health and safety.
