Kong Hee, founder of City Harvest Church (CHC), was charged in court yesterday with three counts of being part of a conspiracy to commit criminal breach of trust by an agent. Also charged were four senior members of the church.

The case against Kong, 47, was covered by both local and foreign journalists and crew members at the Subordinate Courts yesterday.

About 200 people also turned up outside the court to show their support to Kong (above) and his wife, Ms Ho Yeow Sun (above, left), 42, with some arriving at 8am, an hour before proceedings were scheduled to begin.

And as the couple and the other four co-accused left the court building later, Kong’s supporters formed a protective wall around them.

Members of the media were elbowed and photographers had their shots blocked by supporters, who waved their hands in front of the cameras.

The 200 supporters are blinded nuts, they cannot differentiate what is right or wrong. Singapore's law is upright, if you are guilty, you be punished. Innocent, after trial, the judge will set you free. The police should move in to disperse these rowdy supporters, enforce law and order outside the court premises. It's illegal to gather in large numbers and create a scene, looked like a demonstration to the public and foreigners. Arrest them and charge them according to the law, they embarrassed themselves as christians and being a christian myself, I put my stand in saying this. Let the law take it course as the Deputy Prime Minister said, this lawful act is not against CHC or christians in Singapore but zeroed at the suspected offenders. During the trial, everybody will know the truth so the 200 CHC supporters, please behave like christians for God's glory and not act like hooligans. The whole world and all Singaporeans are watching, it will tarnish the reputation of CHC if they continue to behave badly and it will be a bad testimony for pagans who you are supposed to share the gospel. Repent and cool off!

Obviously these followers are brainless and brainwashed at the same time.

Or, most likely they all benefited in the frauds either directly or indirectly with favors from their fraudulent leaders.

Some may not know that they are being given favors, thinking that it is the "christian" and "moral" characteristics of their leader in such doing.

But, alas, the end have arrived for them and they are of course not contended nor could see this happening before them.

These leaders should be behind bars for ages!

Pardon me, why are there so many sweet talkers in church ???

Remove their pastor robe, most if not all are living it up luxuriously with big cars (not one but a handful), not HDB flats but villas and mansions, expensive watches and jewelleries, expensive tastes , etc...

How is it that their fellow congregation failed to observe and questions such over zealous spendings ??? They can't be brainwashed and blinded at the same time, can they ???

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
