In front of the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall is the statue of Sir Stamford Raffles. The statue has been there since it was moved from the Padang for the Centennial celebrations in 1919. While the building has been closed for major renovations since June 2010, the statue is protected by this temporary shelter. The building is expected to be completed by October 2013.
