Resuming Kaiboy to pick up where he left off
Race 1 (1,250m)
(4) FOX ON THE RUN stayed on strongly to finish second to Gold Giboski on debut. From a neat draw, he will be very hard to beat.
(1) OBJET D' ART stayed on nicely for second behind Demanding Dave at Durbanville last start. He has a good draw, and he will be right there in the finish.
(7) FAST TRAIN stayed on well for fifth on debut, beaten just over five lengths. Include him in all bets.
(11) SOMMERSTERN will need a lot of luck in running from a wide draw. He can still sneak into the placings at a decent price.
Race 2 (1,250m)
(3) MADRA RUA has been rested for 170 days. He finished just over five lengths behind Happy Verse at Kenilworth on debut. From a good draw, he will go very close.
(4) FREEDOM FIGHTER has been rested for 165 days. He stayed on well for second to Intensity at Greyville on debut. If he handles Durbanville, he will figure.
(6) SLIVER OF SUNSHINE flashed up to run fourth behind Siriano on debut. He should improve. Include him in all bets.
(10) UMZINGELI WENYATHI has been rested and gelded. He is consistent and will have his first run at Durbanville. Watch him closely.
Race 3 (1,600m)
(2) CLOUDS CLEARING ran a nice fourth to Might Mary at Durbanville on Sept 7. She now steps up in trip to 1,600m, gets a good draw and champion apprentice Brevan Plaatjies up. She will run a cracker.
(8) LA PATRONA stayed on nicely late behind Sesame on Sept 13. Still very green, she managed to hit the line strongly for sixth. If she can beat the tricky draw, she will be running on strongly.
(10) ALESSIA ASHEVILLE never runs a bad race. On her best form, she can finish in the money.
(9) RED STATE ran third, beaten just over three lengths by Sesame last time. If she can build on that performance from a wide draw, she will have a winning chance.
Race 4 (1,500m)
(1) VIVA LA VIDA has been rested for 63 days. She won a cracking race at Kenilworth last time. She will go very close to winning again from a neat draw.
(6) WANDER DUNE is extremely well-bred, she ran a great race behind Girl Like Us over 1,250m at Durbanville on Aug 30. She will love the step-up to 1,500m.
(3) BERRY'S BOOGIE has been rested for 263 days. If she enjoys the step-up in trip and does not need the run, she can make her presence felt from a nice draw.
(7) DIAMOND BOMBER stayed on strongly for fourth to Stormwatch on Sept 7. No weight on her back. She could sneak into the quartet at a big price.
Race 5 (1,000m)
(7) AVIGNON has been rested for 147 days. He showed plenty of speed to win a great race at Kenilworth on May 21. If he can beat the tricky draw, he can win again.
(1) EASY LIVING ran fifth to Country Time on Sept 3 last time. He must have a good each-way chance from a neat draw.
(4) WINTERONTHEGREEN has been rested for 120 days. She has run two fair races in succession up the straight at Kenilworth. If she does not need the run, she could easily trouble them late.
(9) COUNTRY TIME was a let-down from a wide draw last time at Durbanville on Sept 27. Always a winning chance at this level.
Race 6 (1,000m)
(4) KAIBOY has been rested for 97 days. He quickened up to win well at Kenilworth on July 10. Even though he rises in the ratings, he gets 4kg apprentice claim.
(7) ARCTIC WIZARD won a terrific race after gelding at Durbanville on Sept 13. If he can beat the draw, he has a good winning chance.
(5) MAI SENSATION has been rested for 102 days. Classy filly who can claim this quite easily, if fit after a long break.
(8) DEAN STREET tries hard. He finished second behind Arctic Wizard on Sept 13. If he beats the draw, he can finish in the money.
Race 7 (1,250m)
(4) DU MAURIER finished like a train for second to Country Time at Durbanville on Sept 3. Well drawn and with the 2.5kg claim, she will be low-flying late.
(6) EASY MONEY stayed on well for second behind Miss New York on Sept 22. She tries hard, and is a good each-way chance again.
(3) MISS NEW YORK flew home to win by just under one length last time. With the 4kg claim and a neat draw, she will go close.
(7) QUEEN REGENT got her head down at exactly the right time on Sept 9. She is still improving. With some luck in running from a tricky draw, she will be competitive.
Race 8 (1,250m)
(6) FESTIVAL CHIC finished just under three lengths behind She's My World in the Grade 3 Diana Stakes on Sept 27. Back in trip, she has a good winning chance.
(2) ARTISTE has been rested for 111 days. Last two runs in Johannesburg were very good. If she does not need the run, she will threaten.
(7) PAPILLON BLU ran a great race behind Arctic Wizard at Durbanville on Sept 13. She can make them all work for victory this time.
(10) NORDIC QUEST has been rested for 63 days. She ran a good race behind Elusive Winter on Aug 13. She will be running on strongly.
