Chavez suspended two days

Jockey Oscar Chavez has been suspended for two race days over his handling of KATONG PARK in Race 1 on Jan 25.

At the conclusion of an inquiry on Sunday, Chavez pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that making the turn into the straight, he shifted his mount outwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby carrying Shenzhou One outwards and Speed Mission having to check.

As Chavez has been engaged to ride this Friday and Sunday, his suspension was deferred to begin next Monday.

He was advised of his right of appeal.
