Emperor Max among four bleeders

Three Sunday runners, among them dual Group winner EMPEROR MAX and Race 7 winner BALE STAR, bled and have been barred from racing until they pass a bleeder's test.

Emperor Max, who finished second to Faaltless in Race 6, and MR ARMSTRONG, who finished second-last in Race 8, will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks for two months, and will not race for three months until they have satisfactorily passed a bleeder's test.

As it was his second bleeding attack, Bale Star has been barred for five months and will not race for five months.

A fourth runner, KEVIN ELEVEN, who beat only two home in the final of 11 events, returned with blood in his right nostril.

He is required to pass a 1,000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
