Kellady suspended 1 month; J Low, Rehaizat get 2 days

Jockey Matthew Kellady has been suspended for one month over his handling of NOTNOW-TOMORROW in Race 2 on Sept 28.

After taking evidence from Kellady and Shane Baertschiger, trainer of the horse, Kellady pleaded guilty to a charge of negligence in that he failed to ensure that he was ready to start while in the barriers, resulting in him being severely unbalanced when the start was effected and his mount losing considerable ground.

Kellady's suspension started from yesterday and will run until Nov 12.

Jockey Jackson Low (SOON N LEONG) and apprentice Tengku Rehaizat (ABOVE DE PINNACLE) received two race days each for careless riding.

Their suspensions were from yesterday until Saturday.
