Rodd suspended 2 race days

Jockey Michael Rodd (above) has been suspended for two Singapore race days over his handling of Q NINE MAGIC in Race 5 on March 15.

At the conclusion of an inquiry on Friday, Rodd pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift inwards near the 1,000m mark, when insufficiently clear.

This resulted in Xin Treasure having to be checked.

As Rodd has been engaged to ride at Kranji next Friday and Sunday, the commencement of the suspension was deferred to tomorrow week.

He was advised of his right of appeal.
