RACE 1

SELECT GATHERING: Crowded; showed no pace despite the urgings of his rider; apprentice WS Chan reported that Select Gathering was not striding out freely; a veterinary examination revealed that the horse exhibited signs of respiratory distress after the race.

TWODOLLARMUPPET: Uunbalanced; made contact; apprentice MM Firdaus was fined $500 for dropping his whip near the 250m mark.

DR N WING FIGHTERS: Made contact.

LION MASTER: Inclined to lay inwards.

HOT ARISTOCRAT: Inclined to lay inwards; checked; laid outwards; apprentice K A'Isisuhairi reported that Hot Aristocrat was not striding out freely.

TIP OF BORNEO: Inconvenienced.

UNIQUE ONE: Jockey E Aslam was fined $500 for making a celebratory gesture before the finish. Trainer Alwin Tan, when questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of Unique One, said that the race was a slightly weaker field than the previous start. He added that he had changed the work regimen of the mare and had included more swimming in her work. In addition, he believed that Unique One had benefited with a more senior rider engaged. His explanation was noted.

RACE 2

HAN SOLO: Jumped awkwardly.

BLACK LABEL: Severely crowded.

SO SIMPLE: Jumped awkwardly; made contact. Jockey S John, when questioned, said that he was instructed to race in a forward position where possible. He was caught wide in the early stages and elected to go forward, obtaining a position to the outside of Han Solo entering the backstraight. He was then able to reach the lead but was unable to cross to the fence as Han Solo was still racing three-quarters of a length back to his inside. As he worked hard early, he elected not to place his mount under further pressure and to race one off the fence. So Simple then disappointed and gave ground quickly in the straight when the horse was placed under pressure. His explanation was noted.

SINGSURAT: Made contact.

ZENZERO: Eased when racing tight.

SAFFIR: Brushed; rolled outwards.

YELLOW BIRD: Brushed; rolled inwards.

MR SPIELBERG: Held up and unable to improve between the 600m mark and 400m mark; disappointed for a run approaching the 400m mark; again disappointed for a run passing the 200m.

RACE 3

INCREDIBLE HULK: Slow to begin.

OVER EASY: Jumped awkwardly inwards.

PRINCE MAG: Eased after becoming awkwardly placed when attempting to come to the outside to obtain clear running; bumped; returned having cast his off-fore plate.

SINGING DUNE: Bumped.

BRAVO: Returned lame near-fore.

RACE 4

STAR OF EDEN: Shifted outwards abruptly on jumping; made contact.

LONHMIN: Carried outwards.

KEEN DRAGON: Severely crowded; eased; raced keenly; raced wide; tendency to lay outwards.

HUSSAR: Bump.

FASTNET DRAGON: Bumped; eased; bumped.

DRAGON FURY: Bumped; unbalanced; steadied outwards.

SMART MONEY: Inconvenienced.

MOON OF NEPTUNE: Bumped; made contact.

RACE 5

CASH DOT COM: Difficult to be loaded into the barrier; bumped heavily.

GOLDEN BRILLIANT: Restless in the barrier; began awkwardly; raced wide; returned with a cut in his mouth.

KNIGHT SPIRIT: Slow into stride.

CALIFORNIA EAGLE: Steadied.

RUSTY BROWN: Bumped.

KIWI KARMA: Bumped heavily.

EXQUISITELY SWEET: Tendency to lay inwards, resulting in his rider having to stop riding and straighten the gelding on a number of occasions.

RACE 6

LIM'S MIRAGE: Jumped awkwardly inwards; bumped.

STOCK BROKER: Bumped; steadied when crowded.

INCANDESCENT: Jumped awkwardly outwards; bumped; tendency to race keenly.

FAST RICH: Bumped; crowded; raced keenly.

BONTEMPELLI: Inconvenienced.

PUSAKA: Inconvenienced.

RACE 7

MESHMAKER: Jumped awkwardly.

ACCOMPLISHED: Jumped awkwardly; made contact; crowded.

ZEDKAAR: Made contact; crowded; carried outwards.

VERGLATICA: Slow to begin.

WONDERFUL PRINCE: Tendency to race keenly; eased.

AROWANA DOT COM: Eased.

RACE 8

VON SNITZEL: Began awkwardly.

KING OF KOON: Began awkwardly; dropped his off-side rein approachng the 50m mark, which he regained shortly thereafter.

OASIS SPUR: Taken inwards; made contact.

DYNASTY KNIGHT: Made contact.

SUGAR MAN: Bumped; checked.

SOLID WOOD: Bumped; checked.

VANTAGE: Inconvenienced.

DRAGON WALK: Checked.

RACE 9

GOAL KEEPER: Bumped; returned having cast his near-fore plate.

SPEEDY CAT: Bumped.

EL PADRINO: Held up and unable to improve between the 600m mark and the 500m mark.

EL MILAGRO: Brushed.

HAPPY MONEY: Brushed; jockey D Beasley dropped his off-side rein over the concluding stages.

RACE 10

TOP GUN: Crowded; eased; lost ground.

SEBAS: Jumped outwards.

JIMMY REA: Jumped inwards; Jockey M Nunes had to readjust his near-side stirrup iron approximately 50m after the start; lost ground.

EVA'S DAY: Brushed; checked. An objection was lodged by jockey B Vorster, the rider of fourth placegetter, Eva's Day, against Golden Tomahawk, being the third placegetter, on the grounds of interference near the 900m mark. After deliberation and considering all of the evidence, the panel of stewards felt that near the 900m amrk, Eva's Day checked and lost ground to the inside of Golden Tomahawk, who shifted inwards. In this incident, Eva's Day lost about two lengths. Taking into account the interference, the manner in which both horses finished off the race and the finishing margin between the horses, the panel of stewards felt that the interference had affected the result. As such, the objection was upheld and the result was amended to read: 3rd Eva's Day and 4th Golden Tomahawk.

HAPPY PRINCESS: Mis-strode

APPELLATION: Steadied.

RACE 11

SIMPANG: Bumped heavily; carried inwards, placing his rider at a disadvantage.

SCARLET STAR: Jumped inwards; bumped heavily; raced keenly; severely crowded; checked.

DANCING TSURU: Shifted inwards abruptly; made heavy contact; hung inwards badly on two occasions; raced wide.

RETROSPECT: Made heavy contact; inconvenienced; straightened wide.

ROCKET PANDA: Severely crowded; checked.

RACE 12

FRAAJILISTIC: Fractious in the barrier.

TO BE REMEMBERED: Slow into stride.

STRAIGHTTOTHEPOINT: Raced keenly; returned lame near-fore.

OM: Eased outwards.

MY SHINE: Held up and unable to improve making the turn into the straight.
