FIFA unveiled the World XI during this morning's (Jan 13) Ballon d'Or Gala.
The list of the best starting eleven in 2014 was decided by the votes of 20,000 professional football players from all over the world.

Unfortunately for David Luiz, his inclusion rankled of the Twitterarti.

Tweeting in Portuguese, he did not address the widespread outrage at his inclusion. Instead, he took the high road and he thanked God, family, friends and colleagues for supporting him.
