FIFA to Barcelona: Keep Suarez under wraps
Barcelona has a shiny new toy and they cannot show it off to anyone.
Luis Suarez will not be unveiled in a glitzy ceremony after his £75 million (S$159 million) move from Liverpool FC to Barcelona.
This was after FIFA made clear that the 27-year-old Uruguayan "cannot be in a football-related public event", according to a statement released by FIFA's spokeswoman Delia Fischer.
"He cannot even be involved in a football-related charity event," Fisher told BBC.
This is off course after Suarez was banned from football for four months after he decided to take a bite out of Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during their World Cup Group D match on June 27.
Barcelona's previous big name purchases have been unveiled in glitzy ceremonies - last season Brazilian player Neymar was unveiled in front of 90,000 cheering fans, BBC reported.
