Arsenal fan injures hernia after wild celebrations
It’s been said that following a football team, with all its ups and downs, can sometimes be detrimental to your health.
Arsenal fans Scott Woods is a prime example of that.
He required surgery after celebrating too zealously after Danny Welbeck’s injury-time winner against Leicester City over the weekend.
He was later admitted to hospital with a hernia.
He told the Metro newspaper: “I was jumping around with my dad and hugging my dad. Felt under the weather on Monday (Feb 15) and then had to go to hospital in the middle of the night last night.
“It was bedlam...
“Not sure the hernia was worth the 15 minutes of fame. If Arsenal win the league it will be!”
